There are new versions available of MediaMosa and the WLE. The current recommended WLE version is 1.7.1 and Mediamosa version is 1.7.4. This is probably the last 1 version before version 2 is released.
This is mainly a Drupal Core update to 6.17 for both. See the http://mediamosa.org/downloads page for more information.

After months of development, we are proud to announce the release of first alpha version of MediaMosa 2.x. This new release has been build on Drupal 7 and introduces many improvements for open source developers. We have reorganized the source code and rewritten a large part of the core code to support Drupal 7 new database layer. For more details you can read the official release page.
There are new versions available of WLE and MediaMosa. The current recommended WLE version is 1.7.0 and Mediamosa version is 1.7.3.2.
This WLE version was made for Mediamosa 1.7 branch, and this WLE version has a fix for a cross-site scripting security issue. This Mediamosa version has various bug fixes compared to 1.7.3.1.

<UPDATE> The maintenance has been executed.
Due to maintenance on the servers of MediaMosa.org there might be short disturbance in availablity of the website, forum and Trac on 04-12-2009.
VP-Core and VP-X were working titles of the MediaMosa Project. We are currently in the process of removing all references to these names in the code and documentation.
On 2009-09-04 (Friday), MediaMosa will be taken offline for not more than a few hours to permit the migration of the websites and the services to the datacenter of SURFnet.If you have any follow-up questions or concerns, please submit your replies at the forum.

The installation profile is completely rewritten. More information is added during installation process and the database tables are cleaner now. Overall installation of MediaMosa should be much more easy. Due to the number of changes in the installation profile we recommend users of 1.5.6 to reinstall MediaMosa over a clean database.
There are some minor changes:
- fixed a bug where sometimes 2 stills were created in 1 response.
